During this phase a certified employment specialist will assist the client in identifying employment in either a competitive, supportive, or extended employment site. The specialist will teach job seeking skills to the consumer, identify vocational interest areas with the consumer and assist in a job search.

Vocational assessments are also available. The focus of the assessment is to determine interest, aptitude, behavior's in the workplace, attitudes toward work and work tolerance. This is accomplished with situational assessments, observations in the work place, work samples and real work. Following the assessment the specialist will prepare a written report summarizing the data and offer an opinion as to the client's employment level and capacity.
